A few days ago I posted that my fish had ich. I have done the 2 treatments and changed 30% of my water on Tuesday and the ich seems to be all gone with no more fatalities. Now I have to get a new filter cartridge because my friend that has all the fish tanks told me that it is better to have no cartridge while trying to cure the ich because the charcoal in the cartridge cleans the ich medication out of the water. I will be putting a new one in tomorrow. I have been told that ich can be caused by the temperature going up in down in my tank so from now on I will keep an eye on the temperature and make sure that it is staying within 1 or 2 degrees from what it is suppose to be because I really do not want to go through the ich thing again or lose any more fish.
So I have a 10 Gallon fish tank with 5 fish in it and last week one of my fish died of ich. On Thursday I realized that another one of my fish had ich so I got some ich cure from my friend and dropped one pill in on Friday and one in yesterday. The first one looks like it did the job but my friend Bart who has his own tanks and is very knowledgeable in the fish area told me to drop the second pill in to make sure that I get rid of the ich. He also told me to change at least 20% of my water before adding the second pill but I misunderstood him and put the second one in before changing the water, so I hope my fishies are going to be ok. So now he said to change the water on Tuesday just to make sure that the pill does it job. There are some babies in there so I really hope they are going to be ok. I will let you all know what happens in the next few days with it.
