Eating healthier

Posted by: Tracey  /  Category: Weight Loss

Well since I started doing the Aqua fit classes I decided that I wanted to start eating healthier.  So yesterday I went to the grocery store and bought lunch stuff for the week.  I bought some whole wheat buns and some lunch meat.  I cut up some cheese and put it into a container and brought everything to work with me today.  See my problem is that I am lazy to make this stuff at night and don’t have time in the morning.  If everything is there and ready for me to eat I eat it.  I no that this stuff that I mentioned is not like the most healthiest but it’s a start for me since I am usually eating out all the time at lunch and it’s mostly bad stuff like McDonald’s or Wendy’s.  So this is definitely better for me.  I also bought some apples, cauliflower and carrots.  I also started to bring stuff to work for breakfast and making coffee at work rather that stopping at Tim Horton’s everyday and getting a bagel with bacon in it.  So this is  a big step for me.

For super I have not been going out for dinner either I have been eating dinner at home almost everynight with the exception of one day on the weekend. My biggest problem is eating at night like chips or candy.  I have an addiction to 5 cent candies… So I will start to work on that as well.  I figure I am going to take it one step at a time.  Hey if I can quit smoking I can change my eating habit and lose weight!!  Tomorrow is the start of my second week in aqua fit classes and Wednesday I might try out the deep water class.  Will let you no how it goes.

Healthy eating is a concern for me as well. Fortunately I work at company that has the health of its employees at interest – instead of vending machines full of junk, they provide us with fresh fruit daily. When I leave work at 6PM, I stop by the hospital cafeteria to eat supper – good and wholesome food that is well prepared – no deep fried foods, etc. The weekends are my downfall as I am not a cook and I end up eating out.

Yeah I am trying my best. I find the weekends are tough because I have so much to do because I work all week and don’t have the time to do them during the week. So after running around all day Saturday I don’t feel like cooking. I can cook I am just too lazy which is not good either. I have started to bring stuff to work that is healthier, it is really good that your place of employment does that for you guys. Thanks for the comment. I am going to drop by your site and check it out :)

    Hey Tracey,

I know what you mean about eating healthier. It is hard to do but if you can find a good substitute for a meal it makes it a lot easier. I discovered an alternative just the other day and you can check it out for yourself by going to the website I listed. It has everything you need to help get in better shape and not have to give up good eating. Lots of success with your weight loss.

Hey Eddie, I tried the link that you left and it keeps giving me a page load error. I even googled it and found it and it still gives me a page load error. Let me no if there is something that I am doing wrong or if something is wrong with the site, if so then let me no when it’s fixed I would love to have a look

We already eat at home all week, and eat somewhere out for dinner on the weekend, usually Saturday. I’m bad about snacking though, at night after my daughter goes to bed. My hubby doesn’t help, he gets the oreos out, or whatever and I can’t resist.

Hi Tracy, (I like your name ;) ) I know what you mean. My biggest problem is at night as well. I have a bad addiction to the 5 cent candies and chips. But ever since I started the aqua fit classes that I have been going to I have been able to somewhat stop the cravings. Not totally thought, but I am trying. It’s so hard!!!
