Everyday Life
Well lastnight was suppose to be my double class night for Aqua fit but it decided to snow yesterday. I live on the West Coast and we do not get that much snow in the winter. Well, this last winter was another story. We broke records here in the lower-mainland that were from the 1960’s. Yesterday we got about 6-8 inches of snow and the instructor for the aqua fit class could not get the to leisure centre from her house so both classes were canceled. I was very disappointed about this. I really enjoy going to the classes.
This morning when I woke up there was about 6 inches of snow on my car from the snow fall overnight. I drive my niece to school everyday and this morning my car doors were frozen shut and my key holes were frozen as well. So I had to use some lock deicer on my key holes and poor hot water over my door frames to get into my car. My nieces school is about a 10 minute drive from my house and it was in the negatives this morning, I think about -6 C so by the time I got her to school her door already froze shut again. I was like oh great I hope my door is not frozen again or we are both stuck in the car..haha… thank god it wasn’t so I had to get out of my car and go fight with her door to open!! So anyways I hope tonight’s Aqua fit class is not cancelled.

As you all know I have been going to Aqua Fit classes. Lastnight I went to 2 classes. The first one was the regular class and the second one right after that was the deep water class. Wow, what a difference in classes. The normal aqua fit class is a little bit easier than the deep water. In the regular one you are able to touch the ground when running in the water in the deep water run you can’t touch the ground at all so you are constantly moving your body. You are actually moving your entire body not just your legs or arms. It’s like ridding an exercise bike in the water. Today I feel a bit soar on the inner part of my thighs and my arms. This feels good though. At least if I am soar I no that I have actually worked my body out. I am glad that I decided to finally try this out because I really enjoy it. I know that this is something that I will stick to. It’s much better than going to the gym. Tonight will be my last class for the week. The only down side to this is that my skin is getting dry and itchy from the chlorine. One of the really good things about it is that you burn between 900 to 1100 calories each class

Well since I started doing the Aqua fit classes I decided that I wanted to start eating healthier. So yesterday I went to the grocery store and bought lunch stuff for the week. I bought some whole wheat buns and some lunch meat. I cut up some cheese and put it into a container and brought everything to work with me today. See my problem is that I am lazy to make this stuff at night and don’t have time in the morning. If everything is there and ready for me to eat I eat it. I no that this stuff that I mentioned is not like the most healthiest but it’s a start for me since I am usually eating out all the time at lunch and it’s mostly bad stuff like McDonald’s or Wendy’s. So this is definitely better for me. I also bought some apples, cauliflower and carrots. I also started to bring stuff to work for breakfast and making coffee at work rather that stopping at Tim Horton’s everyday and getting a bagel with bacon in it. So this is a big step for me.
For super I have not been going out for dinner either I have been eating dinner at home almost everynight with the exception of one day on the weekend. My biggest problem is eating at night like chips or candy. I have an addiction to 5 cent candies… So I will start to work on that as well. I figure I am going to take it one step at a time. Hey if I can quit smoking I can change my eating habit and lose weight!! Tomorrow is the start of my second week in aqua fit classes and Wednesday I might try out the deep water class. Will let you no how it goes.

Everyday Life
So last night I was at my friends house and we decided to watch a movie. During the day at work yesterday one of my coworkers mentioned that he watched Quarantined the night before and it scared him a few times. I haven’t seen a good scary movie in a long time so I thought why not. We started to watch it at like 10:30 last night and at first I thought ok, this is really slow and was actually starting to fall asleep. Then after like 20 mins or so it got into the movie. I must say there were some parts where I had to close my eyes a bit because it was scarring the crap out of me. (LOL) There was one really scary part that came up near the end of the movie that made my friend yell a bit and jump and when he did that I jumped and almost had a heart attack. So for those of you out there who have not seen this movie and like scary movies, I suggest that you watch it. You will not be disappointed. On a scale of 1-5 for scariness I give it a 5!! Well have a good night.

Weight Loss
Well today was my third day of aqua fit class. So that means I am done for the week. Next class will be Tuesday night. I have to say I really am enjoying the classes. I wish I would have started them a while ago. But at least I started. Day one was a wake up call. Meaning I have probably not exercised for about 4 years. Bad hey. So yeah as you read in my first post about aqua fit “holy crap”. Day 2 was ok I was a bit sore when I woke up the next morning after the first class. I am finding that it is my calves that hurt so bad. I am told from the instructors that this is because when I am running in the water I am running on my tippy toes when I should be landing flat on my feet when they hit the ground. I am trying my hardest to do this, getting the hang of it but it’s still not quite there yet. The class was just as good as the day one class.
So on to this morning. This morning when I woke up I could hardly walk!! My calves were so sore it was crazy. The worse was when I had to walk down stairs. Oh my god!!! During the day at work every time that I was sitting in my chair for a while and had to get up to do something they would stiffen up but after walking for a few minutes it was ok. On my way home from work today I was contemplating if I should go or not. I told my self to suck it up and go. After all the pain that I am feeling is good pain, right? Anyways, I went to the class tonight and as I was getting changed I was thinking what am I doing here I am so sore. I went into the hot tub for about 15 minutes, as I have been each night and relaxed. Once the class started I was ok. By the end I felt awesome. I am really glad that I went. One thing that I really enjoy is the fact that each night there is a different instructor, therefore making each night different, not the same stuff all the time. This is really nice.
Before I started these classes on Tuesday I always felt so tired. I know that I have only been going for 3 days, but I have noticed that I am not so tired at work for the last few days and I don’t feel like I am going to fall asleep in the afternoons anymore. I have also stopped eating out everyday and have been bringing my own lunch. Which I think my play a big part in the feeling better. I have decided that next week on Wednesday night I will try the deep water aqua fit. I am told that this class is quite a work out, so I will let you know how it goes!! Good night.

Weight Loss
Tonight was my very first Aqua Fit Class and HOLY CRAP is all I can say. I absolutely loved it. It was pretty hard seeing as I never exercise. I was a little nervous about going at first because of having to get into a bathing suit and not knowing anyone but I was surprised when I got to the end of the pool where the class was. There was at least 25 - 30 women there all ages and sizes. This made me less nervous. I had no idea what I was in for!!! They start off with a “warm up” yeah ok.. Have you ever sweat in the water before? Well, the warm up alone made me sweat, I had no idea that you could sweat in the water. After the warm up the first thing they work on is your lower body. At first I was like ok this is good, then all of a sudden you’re sprinting in the water from one side of the pool to the other then running backwards, jumping jacks then just as you think your legs are gonna fall off in the water they switch to your upper body. Oh yeah and they always make you suck in your tummy as you’re doing all this.
So on to the upper body. It was the same as the lower body, kinda easy at first then you’re working really hard almost like boxing in the water. Then they give some weights that float in the water and this works out your mid section. You have to use them to hold yourself side to side but keeping your body under the water. You also have to do this holding your feet in front of you and behind you. So all in all I really enjoyed this class and will definaltey continue to go the three days a week. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Then when I get brave enough I will try the deep water aqua fit. And one more thing, man is it ever a good thing that I quit smoking cuz I swear I would have died there tongiht. Oh yeah and if you ever try this, bring WATER!!!

As you can see I added a new theme today. I was not satisfied with the old one. I wanted something new now that my blog has started. My really good friend that is not so new to blogging helped me with all the fixes that need to be done to it. As of right now not everything is complete. Hopefully soon I will have some pics up too. As soon as I am finished with the final touches to the site I have lots of content to post . Right now I just want to focus on fixing all the things on my blog so I don’t have to come back to everything later on. So for now, thanks to all for the nice comments.

Since I have registered my blog on entrecard I have gotten a few comments welcoming me to the blog world and a lot of support for the no smoking. Thanks to all who have left the comments and making feel welcomed to the blogging world. It felt really nice when I received my first comment I have to tell my friend right away. His response was “see I told you you should have started this along time ago” lol…So here I am. Now doing drops everyday on entrecard getting a chance to see what everyone else out there is doing. As I mentioned yesterday I am very new to the blog world. Just to bring things up to speed back in December I decided to quit smoking. On February 2nd it was 2 months for me being a non smoker. It was pretty hard for the first week or so. The hardest part was trying to figure out what to do with all the spare time that I had from not smoking. I wanted to find something that would make me not want to smoke or eat as my main concern about quitting smoking was gaining weight. To this day I have gained about 10lbs which is not that bad. As most of my good friends have said, at least I quit the most unhealthiest thing in my life, smoking. Now I need to focus on loosing weight. I also mentioned in a previous post that I want to start doing aqua fit classes. I am still going to do that. My first class was suppose to be on the Tuesday that just passed but I came down with the flu and I am still a bit sick with it. So now my first class with be next Tuesday at 8 pm. These classes run 3 times a week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I will be going each day. I figure I hate going to the gym and it is so expensive for sign up fees and monthly fees. The aqua fit class it only $5 per class no sign up fees at all. So that is a total of $60 per month which is pretty much the cost of a gym member ship. The good thing is if I can’t make it to a class than I am not paying for nothing. I will let you know how the aqua fit classes work out once I have finally made it to my first class!!
